Sights to See

Poetry

"Dance of a Lace Strewn Woods"
(A poem in two parts)
Breathe dancing in air
Movement to the song around
The tune raising fine hair
Chills racing at the sound

Eyes widening at the brilliance
Mind slowly giving in to the test
Heartbeats amplifying the dance
Body easing into a numbing rest

Lace strewn
To form a thick blanket
As earth falls
Hibernating Eden

Heart lines crossing
Patterns of the spring
As earth stitches
Awakening haven

"Beautiful Mess"
I long to be a beautiful mess--
so head over heels
completely insane
tripping desperately
completely unraveled
blushingly revealing
lovingly glowing
hopelessly lost
radiantly obvious
eye-catching honestly
tumbling towards...
falling in love with you.

"Beautiful Symphony"
Just for you
I wrote the song
That plays each day
Whisper soft all around

It plays under stars
And flows through fields
And hearlds in new life
Its end too far to reach

This song for you
I scribed long ago
I hope each day
It draws your love to Me

But I know the end
I follow each note
With unrequited love
I wrote my beautiful symphony

Can you hear its gentle notes
Its soft rise and fall
I count each beat and wait
For you to hear it too

One day it’s notes will resonate
Too loud for you to shun
Then this age old melody
Will be your love – back to Me

“ times ∞”
Sunlight filters in
Eyelashes flutter up
Feet slide from covers
Tapping ice cold wood

Moving through motions
Smiles and jokes
Lick lips
Face expressionless

Stars rise
Feet slip under covers
Leaving cold wood
Eyelashes flutter down

Dew Covered
Dew covered grass clings to her toes
toes that she stands high upon
upon her toes, twirling, swirling, arms reaching high
high, strained for heaven, face tilted
tilted for the sunset

sunset, evening rises, she stops
stops, and reaches out
out, towards the light
light, flying by, towards the sky

sky, full of stars, shooting
shooting stars, dancing
dancing with her, twirling
twirling, on dew covered toes
